The 'Christian Community', a generalization that you obviously like to use because it fulfills your purpose, no more defines the real Christian community (the one the bible calls the church, or the body of Christ), than you define the Jewish race as God's chosen people. I can't blame you tho, really - as you've probably never met a real follower of Jesus. The truly sad part of this situation is that you are just as screwed up as the 'Christians' that you think you're better than. How many times did God (not g-d) try to get the Israelites attention throughout the Old testament (your Book of Law....... not sure how educated you really are about your ancestors) only to have them (you) ignore Him over and over, wander in the wilderness, worship idols, etc, etc, etc. My blog doesn't rant how stupid the Jewish people are because Jesus teaches us to have patience and love one another as ourselves...... He challenges us to live above the worldly crap that surrounds us and to fix our eyes on higher things........ pretty good advice from anyone, really - whether you accept Him as the Messiah or not. So, Nathan, understand that the frickin media has NO idea what's really happening and with their negativity and sensationalism cater to people exactly like you. In fact, they exist because of and for YOU..... quit living life as a sound bite and go try and change the world thru some type of action - not bitching. Do a good deed and expect nothing in return, pray in secret, loan money to someone who can never repay you, try doing a random act of kindness each day - and tell no one. We CAN change this world, but we need to quit taking sides and start doing positive things to help each other. Jerry Falwell is an idiot and doesn't represent me or any real Christian, even tho he mite be fun to pick on...... just feel sorry for those morons like I do and get busy fixing stuff.
